Overview

A journey deliberately slowed down: tea in a garden by day, a room above the canal by night. Three cities in five days, and an hour spent doing nothing on a bridge in Wuzhen is considered time well used. Ideal for second or third visits to China.

Day 1

Arrival in Nanjing

Private airport transfer and hotel check-in.

Day 2

Nanjing · City Wall and the Qinhuai

Zhonghua Gate and the Ming city wall; evening boat at Fuzimiao.

Day 3

Nanjing to Wuzhen

Morning drive to Wuzhen; afternoon in the Xizha district, overnight in a canal-side guesthouse.

Day 4

Wuzhen to Suzhou

Early walk through the water town; morning drive to Suzhou, afternoon at the Humble Administrator's Garden and Pingjiang Road, evening pingtan performance.

Day 5

Suzhou · Departure

Morning at the Lingering Garden or Tiger Hill, afternoon transfer to the airport.
