Overview

A Nanjing study journey designed for families with children aged six to fifteen. Not sightseeing but doing: measuring bricks on the city wall, threading a loom, restoring 'artefacts' in a museum. Each day is kept under five hours, with time left for a nap and free play.

Day by day

Day 1

Arrival in Nanjing · Wall Treasure Hunt

Private airport transfer and hotel check-in. Evening at Fuzimiao and a boat on the Qinhuai.

Day 2

Archaeology Day

Morning 'Little Archaeologist' at Zhonghua Gate; afternoon brick-rubbing workshop at the City Wall Museum.

Day 3

Brocade Day

Morning at the Yunjin Brocade Museum with a hands-on weaving session; afternoon craft market at Laomendong.

Day 4

Nature Day on Purple Mountain

Morning nature observation class on Purple Mountain; afternoon at the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and the Nanjing Museum treasure hunt.

Day 5

Characters and Departure

Morning Chinese character games at Fuzimiao and the Imperial Examination Museum; afternoon transfer to the airport.

A 30% deposit confirms your booking; the balance is due 15 days before departure.
Cancellations more than 30 days before departure are fully refundable; within 30 days actual costs apply.

Itineraries may be reasonably adjusted for weather, traffic control or other force majeure.
Private groups run from 2 to a maximum of 12 travellers.
